Mills County, Iowa – Mills County is excited to announce the kick-off to the planning process to create a new comprehensive plan for the county’s unincorporated areas. The new comprehensive plan will address demographics, land use, housing, commercial and industrial development, and renewable energy.
Residents are encouraged to attend one or more of the public workshops to provide their insight and vision for the future of Mills County. Each public workshop will include a presentation with an overview of the planning process and a series of engagement exercises to help gain feedback for the plan.
The Public Workshops will take place throughout Mills County on the following dates:
• Monday, March 6 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Malvern Public Library, 502 Main St, Malvern, IA 51551
• Monday, March 13 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Indian Creek Museum, 380th St, Emerson, IA 51533
• Wednesday, March 15 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Mills County Annex, 403 Railroad Avenue, Glenwood, Iowa, Glenwood, IA 51534
• Thursday, March 16 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Tobey Jack's Mineola Steak House, 408 Main St, Mineola, IA 51554
