Tobacco Prevention & Education

One of the Division of Tobacco Use Prevention and Control's main areas of focus is supporting tobacco users in their cessation efforts.

We support Quitline Iowa, work with medical providers to promote cessation in their practice, and provide support for local partnerships in promoting cessation in their community. I-STEP (Iowa Students for Tobacco Education and Prevention) is Iowa's youth-led tobacco prevention movement. Prevention and Education is provided to youth in Mills County in various venues.

Education and support is provided to Mills County businesses. This includes understanding state laws and assisting with policy changes.
